Answering Your Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I travel with my Texas charter bus rental?

Texas Charter Bus Company can get you anywhere you want to go in The Lone Star State. We service Austin, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Plano, Fort Worth, Abilene, and a number of surrounding cities.

How do I reserve my charter bus?

You can get started by giving us a call at 281-383-9491 to speak with a charter bus reservation specialist. Please have some basic information about your trip handy, like an itinerary including pick-up and drop-off times and location, an estimated passenger count, and any special amenities or accommodations you may need.

How far in advance should I book my reservation?

It’s better to book sooner than later, but at least 3 months in advance during most times of the year. If you're traveling during exceptionally busy travel seasons—like summer, spring vacations, and major holidays—we recommend booking at least 6 months in advance.

You should also consider booking at least 6 months in advance for any popular state events or attractions, like South by Southwest Festival in Austin or The State Fair of Texas in Dallas.

Am I responsible for finding trip routes and parking?

No. We will work with you to find the best route and parking spots for your trip. When you’re ready to make a reservation, call us at 281-383-9491 with a detailed itinerary so we can map out your route and parking more effectively.

Is there a minimum rental time?

The minimum rental period for charter buses and minibuses is 5 hours.

What is included with my bus rental?

Special amenities vary between buses, so make sure you tell your reservation agent if you’d like anything specific on your bus. Options include free WiFi, power outlets, on-board restrooms, flat-screen TVs, DVD players, AM/FM radio, air conditioning, and reclining seats. Every bus rental comes with the services of a designated professional driver.

Can I request a specific bus model or color?

Yes. You can reserve different types of charter buses to meet a variety of needs and groups. Some customers request all-white or all-black buses for their weddings or corporate events. However, we can’t guarantee that your requested color will be available.

Do you have ADA-accessible charter bus rentals?

Yes. If you need an ADA-accessible charter bus, just let us know at the time you make your reservation. We need at least 48 hours before your trip leaves to get you an accessible bus that meets all federal regulations.

Can I see the bus before my trip?

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to see your charter bus rental in person until the day of pick up. However, once you’ve made your reservation, you can request a picture of your charter bus.

Are food and drinks allowed on the motorcoach?

Yes, food and drinks are allowed on most motorcoaches, though many bus providers request that you avoid bringing glass bottles or containers and messy foods onboard. Please be mindful of a $250 cleaning fee in the event any food or drink is spilled or left on the bus.

Is smoking and/or alcohol allowed on charter buses?

Smoking is prohibited in all vehicles, as are any illegal drugs. If you wish to consume alcohol onboard, please speak to your bus rental expert beforehand to see if it can be accommodated. Please also be aware that your group will be responsible for paying a $250 cleaning fee for any spills or damages.

Can I put on a custom playlist during the ride?

Yes. When you call to make a reservation, please request a charter bus rental equipped with a sound system and AUX cable hook-ups for your personal use.

Can I make changes to my reservation?

Yes, you can make changes to your reservation by contacting your reservation specialist. Depending on when you call and what changes you’re requesting, you may have an additional fee.

How much does a charter bus rental cost?

The cost of your bus rental will depend on various factors, like how far you’re traveling, which city you’re starting from, how many days you’re on the road, and which amenities you need. For a clear idea of what you can expect, read our pricing guide, and then call us at 281-383-9491 to get a personalized quote.

What is/is not included in my quote?

Your quote includes the use of a charter bus for the duration of your trip, the services of a professional driver, the bus’s mileage, fuel, insurance, road tolls, and any processing fees.

Your quote does not include gratuity or hotel accommodations for your driver, or any parking fees that are necessary for your trip. Gratuity is at your discretion, though you may need to arrange hotel accommodations for your driver, which are required for any multi-day or overnight trips.

Will I have to pay a deposit?

Yes. You’ll be required to pay 30% of the total cost to hold your reservation. Deposits may vary, so we’ll let you know how much you owe after you accept your quote.

When is the final balance due?

You’ll be required to pay in full at least 30 days before your trip. If you book less than 30 days in advance, you may have to pay in full when you make your reservation.
